Everything you need to know about the Philippine Supreme Court Jurisprudence Search Engine
SC Law Search is a full-text search engine for Philippine Supreme Court jurisprudence — covering over 20,000 decisions from 1901 to the present. It also includes a searchable database of Republic Acts, Presidential Decrees, Batas Pambansa, and Executive Orders.
It is built for lawyers, law students, researchers, and anyone who needs fast and reliable access to Philippine legal materials.
All jurisprudence data is sourced from the Supreme Court E-Library (elibrary.judiciary.gov.ph), which is the official public repository of the Philippine Supreme Court. Statutes are sourced from the Official Gazette of the Philippines.
This application is a search interface and reader — it does not alter the original text of any decision or law.
The database is updated regularly as new decisions are published by the Supreme Court. The Free Tier always includes the current rolling year (e.g., 2025–2026). Premium subscribers have access to the full archive from 1901 onward.
The free tier gives you full access to cases from the current rolling year — typically the last 12 months. You can search, read, bookmark, and export these cases without paying anything.
Cases from prior years (i.e., 1901–previous year) are locked behind the paywall.
We offer four flexible plans to fit every budget:
Payment is processed securely via PayMongo, the leading Philippine payment gateway. Accepted methods include:
Yes. Monthly and yearly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Your access remains active until the end of your current billing period — there are no refunds for unused days.
The Lifetime Pass is a one-time purchase and is non-refundable once access has been granted.
Yes. A single payment grants you permanent access to the full database — including all future updates, newly added decisions, and any new features released for the platform. No renewals, no hidden fees.
Yes. Switch to the Statutes & EOs tab to search inside the full text of Republic Acts (RA), Presidential Decrees (PD), Batas Pambansa (BP), and Executive Orders (EO). This feature is available to Premium subscribers.
The search engine is powered by SQLite FTS5 — the same professional full-text search technology used by many large-scale document systems. It supports:
AND, OR, NOTacquit*"due process of law"dismissal NEAR/5 employeeYes. While reading any case, you can export the full text as a .docx Microsoft Word file, or use the browser's print dialog for a print-ready version. Premium subscribers can also set up White-Label branding (firm name and logo) that appears as a letterhead on exported documents.
Podcast Mode (🎧 Listen) uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine to read the full decision aloud while you follow along — ideal for multi-tasking or commuting. You can adjust the reading speed and voice from your system settings.
You can save any case using the ⭐ Bookmark button while reading. Bookmarks are stored locally in your browser and organized into Research Folders that you create (e.g., "Labor Law", "Clients – Reyes").
No account is needed to use the free tier. You can search and read current-year decisions immediately without signing up. An account is only required if you wish to subscribe to a Premium plan.
